2014 Forest Hills Drive Documentary
After teasing us with previews of the big premiere in the preceding weeks, HBO aired J. Cole's highly-anticipated concert film, Forest Hills Drive: Homecoming, last night. The show was filmed in Cole's hometown of Fayetteville, N.C., where he gave his day-one fans some special surprises, including appearances from Drake, Jay Z, Big Sean, and YG.
The last show of J. Cole’s 2015 tour found him rocking the Crown Coliseum in his hometown of Fayetteville, North Carolina—a moment captured in an HBO documentary. Cole salutes his “Fayette-nam” stomping grounds with an intense live set composed of 2014 Forest Hills Drive cuts played front to back.

The 90-minute film isn't as ambitious as On The Run, the Jay Z and Beyonce show that aired on HBO last year, but it does feel a bit more human.
